This half-day guided excursion offers a structured journey from your regional hotel directly to the spectacular Cuevas del Drach in Porto Cristo. Relax in an air-conditioned motorcoach as you travel across the central plain of Mallorca. Upon arrival, walk through the 1,200-meter self-guided cave trail to view Miocene limestone stalactites. The trail terminates at Lake Martel. Here, you sit in the underground amphitheater to hear a classical music string quartet played from illuminated rowboats. After the performance, you can experience a short rowboat crossing across the water or walk the adjacent pedestrian bridge to exit. The tour includes a stop at the Majorica Pearl Shop in Manacor to learn about the traditional production of organic artificial pearls.
Note: Bring a light sweater as the undergroud air can feel cool when sitting stationary during the concerts.
The excursion departs in the morning between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM depending on your hotel pickup location. The return transfer terminates at approximately 1:30 PM. The guide provides instructions in English, Spanish, and German during the journey.
The cave interior maintains a stable temperature of 17°C to 21°C, but the humidity is high. Sturdy, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended as stone walkways are constantly damp. Photography is strictly banned during the 10-minute concert. This is a rule you must listen to.
